While living over 2 hours away in Southern Maryland we will be back soon to have another incredible massage at the Scents of Serenity in Glen Allen. We have experienced many massages in multiple countries (US, Japan, Mexico, Caribbean, cruises, and others) and this one was the best. Even the spa at the National Harbor Convention center hotel fell short of how wonderful this one was. When the massage began it was nothing short of perfect and is by far the best we have ever had. The heated massage table, the overhead lights, the waterfall, the music, and the scents combined in a way that could only be described as magical. We met with Tabitha and the other massage therapist and they escorted us to the room. The building, while being a charming older country home, was decorated to begin the relaxing journey at every corner. The staff was welcoming and wonderful host. She left me feeling great with the 30 minute foot massage. The saving grace to this visit and the reason I rated this a 3 star is because my reflexologist, Angela, was amazing. Thankfully they removed the service from the price. My next service, Sauna was ok except the sauna shut down. The scents were pretty but it’s something I could have done at home. I started my bath 3:05… the water was scalding hot. I did not get someone to ask me the water was. I had to sign 3 forms that were pretty much the same thing over 3x (even though I already created my online account). I got guided to my 1st service (bath) late and I got there 15 minutes early. No one noticed it was my birthday… I also drove from Stafford (not acknowledged or thanked for visiting). The main reason is that customer service was sub-par. I came here due to great reviews but I may not return. ![]()
